To enrol with Tricks 4 Treats your dog needs to be at least 12 months old and have a good level of obedience. (Sit, stay, recall and walk reasonably well on a lead, this will be assessed on your first visit) Our foundation courses last for 4 weeks with a test on the fifth. Over the four weeks you will be taught by our trainers and learn how to use each piece of equipment individually then start to join pieces of equipment together in chains.  The foundation course is limited to six handlers and dogs and is on a first come first served basis.

 

After the foundation course, if you pass the test, you will then join the main group but will still be given guidance from our Team Leaders and mentors. Once you and your dog are running courses confidently you may be invited to join the display team.

 

We also have a series of awards starting with Bronze level, that you can complete once you have passed your foundation course. The awards are designed to get progressively harder and develop the tricks that your dog could demonstrate during the shows.

 

We train every Tuesday night at Burnley Pet Boarding Centre, Briercliffe, Burnley, between 7 - 9pm.
